Presents:

Artist Mashup Series No. 1

What Lives... is a mashup of four artists using different media to create a unique evolving fine art experience. The artworks in the show include fine ceramic sculpture, watercolor on paper, acrylic on paper, trash collage, wooden and metal sculpture, experimental electronic music and live collaborations. Many of the pieces will have an augmented reality component for your viewing pleasure.

The collaborations between St Celfer and Luke Gumaelius will include beach wrack collage/sculpture, large paper works, and sound/music creations and percussion with St Celfer's personal instrument and Gumaelius' wood and metal sculptures. Explore the fantastical and expertly crafted ceramic characters of Robin and John Gumaelius during the performances.

The show begins Friday, March 25th at 7pm and will be held at The Broker's Building in Banker's Hill, San Diego - 1827 5th Ave., 92101.

Opening night includes hor d'oeuvres and complimentary wine and beer with one live music collaboration lasting approximately 1hr. There is a $25 entry fee but you will be able to enter the gallery for viewing only (with donation), prior to the music performance if you like.

Starting Saturday afternoon, there will be live collaborative sculpture during the afternoon and another live music improvisation in the evening. The gallery will be open Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 6pm with one casual live improvisation sculpture percussion set from 2:30pm-4:30pm. This set will be open to public participation!

The entire evolving art experience continues through the third weekend of April with a closing celebration of House Music from DJ legend, Donald Glaude, on the 17th! There will be open times simply for viewing (no live events) where we request a donation. Donations cover artist travel reimbursement and venue rental. Live performance events will have entry fees.

A detailed schedule including entry costs can be found on our calendar page or on Eventbrite where you can purchase tickets.
